Park City Mountain Biking & Rail Trail Bike Tours

In Park City there are a variety of exciting mountain bike options for interested bikers of all levels; 400 hundred plus miles of single track trails await you.  Once we have spoken with you we will decide where to ride based on your skill level and interests. Our mountain bike tours are always private so we can provide the best possible level of service to you.  All of our Park City biking tours include our Fuji full suspension mountain bikes, helmets, fresh cut fruit, cookies, sodas, waters and Clif bars.  Our guide to client ratio is usually 6:1 or less on the beginner rides and 5:1 or less on the advanced rides.  We will provide SPD or eggbeater pedals for anyone who requests them.  We do not have bike shoes and ask that you bring your own; you are also welcome to bring your own pedals if you would like to do so.  Our staff is excited to have you join us soon for a day of Park City mountain biking!

Beginner Bike Tours: Historic Union Pacific Rail Trail:

Enjoy a mild dirt trail that is great for families or anyone wanting a leisurely bike ride through the scenic countryside. The biking tour begins in Park City and ends in the town of Wanship, resulting in a total ride length of 13 miles of flat to mildly downhill terrain. Afterwards, the riders enjoy snacks and drinks and are shuttled back to their Park City hotel. Rail trail bike tours take about 2-2 1/2hrs including transportation and are a great mountain bike ride for beginners, families with small children and those more relaxed individuals.

In 2011, this ride will be altered due to construction on the Rail Trail.

Beaver Creek Trail:

Here is another phenomenal setting for a mountain bike ride; the trail is a 2-3 foot wide dirt trail with a small amount of climbing and a handful of moderate rocks. Nestled in the Uinta National Forest and paralleling the Mirror Lake Highway, you will find this ride to be a natural treat! This mountain bike tour can be done as a one way or out and back and usually lasts 3-4 hours including transportation to and from Park City.

City Biking Tours:

If you are looking to avoid the dirt but still want to ride a bike in the mountains, this is the perfect tour for you! We will pick you up and shuttle you the top of Deer Valley, where we will ride down Royal Street, on paved roads, and onto Historic Main Street in Park City. You will enjoy the breathtaking views of Park City’s mountain biking without all of the dirt. In town we have the option to stop for lunch and then continue down a paved path by the City Park and out to the historic McPolin Barn, near The Canyons Resort. This ride offers beautiful views and will be pleasurable for any of our guests.

Intermediate/Advanced Mountain Bike Rides:

For more experienced riders, over 400 miles of varied single track terrain awaits in and around the Park City area, including lift accessed mountain biking at one of our three amazing resorts. Our experienced mountain bike guides are anxious to help you learn the necessary techniques and skills to really enjoy this fantastic form of outdoor adventure. We love sharing our hobbies and our great town and mountain biking through Park City is a great way to do so. After speaking with you we will choose a ride that best suits your interests. Cross country single track and mellow trail rides are both available. All biking tours are approximately two to three hours long, with some variations depending on the ride.
